The most popular mosque in Istanbul is the Blue Mosque. The Mosque of Amed I (an Ottoman Muslim ruler) has 6 minarets, tall slender towers with balconys that is a part of the mosque.

Suleymaniye Mosque is one of the most ironic sites on the Istanbul's skyline. Despite losing its capital social position to Ankara when Turkey became a republic, the city continues to exert its influence from this.

The Grand Bazaar also known as the Kali Çarşi is oldest and largest markets in the world. This was founded early in Turkish government. The market still has a lot of life in it even though it is the oldest market alive.

L-shaped Egyptian Bazaar got the name from being adjacent to the Yeni Valide Mosque complex, that is located in Istanbul and financed by taxes from Cairo. This was once a spice market. Afterwards, the shops expanded their merchandises to dried fruit, jewelry, and other goods.
